Appreciation letter to all poets who sent their poetry to Baamdaad

After the Taliban issued a decree on January 15, 2023, restricting the writing of poetry by Afghan poets, “Baamdaad – House of Poetry in Exile” published a call to all poets and artists of the world not to remain silent against the current situation in Afghanistan. From the date of issuing this call until now, more than a hundred poets all over the world have sent their poems to Baamdaad and have shown their solidarity with the poets of Afghanistan!

As the founder of this protest movement, I express my deep appreciation to all poets and artists who stood beside us with this mission. Your passionate and warm presence in this protest movement was a hope for all of us.

I sincerely shake your hand warmly and appreciate you standing by our side.

I hereby promise that all the poems written and sent to us will be published in the form of a book very soon. The good news is that the first collections of poems will be published in French language in the near future. Currently, we are in the process of translating all the poems written in various languages to be translated into French.
