Baamdaad – House of Poetry in Exile announces the publication of the international poetry anthology “Symphony of Peace”, released in Italian in Italy. This collection has been created in response to the growing censorship and severe restrictions placed on poetry and cultural expression in Afghanistan.

The idea for this project emerged from a call by Somaia Ramish and the anthology has been compiled by Baamdaad  – House of Poetry in Exile, an international network of poets and writers committed to standing against censorship and the suppression of poetry.

“Symphony of Peace,” published by “All Around “ Publishing House and translated into Italian by the respected writer and translator Giorgia Pietropaoli.

This anthology brings together the voices of more than one hundred poets from across the world, including France, Italy, the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Nepal, Japan, Belgium, Iran, and Egypt. Through their poems, these writers express solidarity with Afghan poets and artists and raise their voices against the silencing of cultural expression.

The publication of this anthology continues the global efforts of Baamdaa

d – House of Poetry in Exile to defend freedom of expression in culture and literature. Previously, the anthology “No Prison Can Confine your Poems” was published in French, Dutch, and Japanese as part of the same international movement.

The release of “Symphony of Peace” stands as a powerful sign of global literary solidarity in defense of creative freedom and free expression. Its message is clear: even in the darkest times, poetry cannot be forced into silence.

Baamdaad – House of Poetry in Exile sincerely thanks all the poets who joined their voices with us in this collective act of solidarity.

In hope of freedom

against oppression, censorship, and repression!
